Lucas Dada, Ph.D.

Postdoctoral Associate

I’m from Salta, Argentina where I receive my undergraduate degree in Chemistry. Then, I moved to Buenos Aires to complete my PhD in organic chemistry under the supervision of Dr. Oscar Varela. My graduate research focused on synthesis of glycomimetics as tools for enzyme inhibition and glycobiology. I love books, coffee, and sugar!

Rachel Ramos

Ph.D. Student (rotation)

I am from New Orleans, Louisiana where I earned my B.S. in Biology. My undergraduate research involved the validation of an in-silico coupling network by screening mutagenic human Kinesin-5 against current inhibitors. During my postbaccalaureate I applied efforts to co-targeting mutant NF1 regarding ER+ breast cancers. For my PhD, I hope to elucidate therapeutic strategies for novel targets through chemical biology and drug development. I also love futbol, coffee, and dancing!

Natalie Thielen

Ph.D. Student (rotation)

I graduated in 2020 with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from Oregon State. My scientific interests then took me to San Diego, where I worked in the Sharpless lab at The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) with Dr. Kitamura during his postdoctoral fellowship. After Scripps, I transitioned to the industry side at BioLegend, focusing on ancillary reagents crucial for immunotherapy development. Now, I'm a passionate first-year Ph.D. student at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, enthusiastic about translational and novel discoveries for cancer treatments.
